We are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Angler Qwest Owners Tournament held on July 22nd at Linwood Beach Marina in Michigan!

REGISTRATION:

Final registration is at 7 AM on July 19th.  The tournament will be held out of Linwood Beach Marina located at 135 S. Linwood Beach Road, Linwood, MI 48634.  

 

 

LAUNCH/CAPTAINS’ MEETING:

The mandatory captains’ meeting will be held onsite at the pavilion (near marina restrooms). Many of the participants are already floating in the water at Linwood. For those launching the day of, start lining up 6:00 AM – 6:50 AM down the shop lot road at Linwood. We will have staff to help direct parking.  The captains’ meeting will begin at 7:00 AM and it will be short and sweet. The list of rules is below, please share with your team.  The purpose of the captains’ meeting is to sign in with your team’s name and collect your number.  You will also be given a paper at the meeting with rules should you have questions on the water. The tournament will be a shotgun start outside Linwood Beach Marina’s basin.

No need to rush! We will all be starting at the same time. After launching make your way out of the channel/marina basin.  Look for the white 2023 Pro Troll directly outside of the channel (Brad Dupuie’s AQ). Gather with all your fellow Angler Qwest Owners at a safe distance facing East. We will then launch a drone for a group shoot capturing the 2nd Angler Qwest Owners Tournament.  Shortly thereafter, you will hear a blow horn signifying the shotgun start. Please be respectful and safe.

 

 

CHECK-IN: After fishing hours, boats must check in on the water at the white 2023 Pro Troll at the end of the channel leading into the basin of the Linwood Marina (Start of the no wake zone) before 1:30.  Weigh-in will start at 2:00 PM and continue until all qualified teams’ bags have been weighed.  Awards ceremony will occur after the last weigh-in with exception of the photo contest. In case of a small craft advisory be issued for July 22nd, the tournament will be cancelled. We will send an email to all team captains and update this information accordingly should any changes occur. 

 

 RULES:

1. Final registration will be at 7AM on July 21st.
2. Fishing hours Shotgun start -1 PM on July 22nd on Saginaw Bay.
3. Captains must be in line to check in at 1:30 PM-- NO EXCEPTIONS.
4. In case of a tie, the prize will be split.
5. Tournament will conform to all Michigan State and Federal laws.
6. Fishing license mandatory for each participant.
7. Six anglers MAX per boat.
8. Five fish maximum for heaviest bag. (Walleye only) You may only bring your 5 best fish to the scale. 
9. Anglers may only enter the Heaviest Bag, or the Big Fish contest. You may not enter both.  
10. All decisions by judges are final.

 

PRIZES:

Heaviest Bag: $1,000

Big fish: $250

Best photo: $250 (See below for details.)

Image must be posted on the Angler Qwest Owner’s Group Facebook page. Winner will be announced on July 25^th. Looking for images of action on the boat and great fish. After the weigh-in, feel free to stick around and enjoy some burgers and dogs. You are not just boat owners. You are Angler Qwest owners, and it will be a great experience to get to know one another!
